BOOK III HANDS-ON EARTH SCIENCE ACTIVITIES FOR GRADES K-8 presents over 165 inquiry activities covering the topics of Air, Water, Weather, The Earth, Ecology, Above the Earth, and Beyond the Earth. All of the activities are complete and ready for use, including a title written in question form...list of material needed, most readily available...step-by-step procedures to be carried out by the student...and special tips and background information for the teacher. This book is developed to help students with cognitive delays in the inclusive classrooms. Simple activity boxes will help students sustain attention, stay on task, and work independently and productively while meeting their IEP goals. These activity boxes are easy to create and can be used in either a resource room or classroom when a large discrepancy exists between the student's abilities and that of their peer group. Activity boxes include activities for vocational, math and reading/language arts. These activities can easily be created and monitored by a special education assistant or a capable student.
