The New Transnational Activism

New Left - The New Left is a term used in political discourse to refer to radical left-wing movements from the 1960s onwards. They differed from earlier leftist movements that had been more oriented towards labor activism, and instead adopted a broader definition of political activism commonly called social activism.

Transnational - Transnational is a concept formed in the early twentieth century by writer Randolph Bourne, to describe a new way of thinking about relationships between cultures. It is now used differently from its original conception in international relations and international law and international trade and sociology, is being made very carefully now between international or multinational -- relationships between and among nation-states -- and transnational, relationships between and among individuals and other entities, regardless of nation-state boundaries.
